Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Skardu and Gilgit for the time being, the navy media wing acknowledged.
According to the small print, on his arrival at Skardu, COAS was briefed on the latest state of affairs and operational preparedness of FCNA troops deployed alongside LOC.
Interacting with officers and males, COAS appreciated their extreme morale, operational readiness beneath tough environment, and harsh local weather conditions.

Later, COAS visited Gilgit and inaugurated a cutting-edge Software Technology Park, an initiative of the Special Communication Organisation( SCO).
