A hashtag of #Karachiuniversityisnotsafe popped up on twitter and trended on social media after the University of Karachi (KU) initiated an investigation of the October 5 harassment of two faculty college students of a private institute contained within the faculty.
According to the details, the Security adviser Dr. Moiz Khan is heading the investigation. In his assertion, he acknowledged the incident occurred on October 5. On October 7, the administration was briefed in regards to the incident.
He moreover confirmed that they have not handed over the matter to the police. We will look at the matter and act in response to the laws, he vowed.
As rapidly as a result of the incident was reported, the security authorities inside University premises arrested seven people on the underside of suspicion.
The police have acknowledged that the varsity is investigating the matter internally and that no one from the administration had approached them, nor had the students who’ve been harassed.
