Prime Minister Imran Khan has on Monday accepted the resignation of Lt Gen (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa as Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting.
In a tweet on Monday, Asim Bajwa informs that the premier has accepted his resignation.
“I requested the honorable Prime Minister to relinquish me from the additional portfolio of SAPM on Info & broadcasting. He very kindly approved my request”, he wrote.
Earlier, PM Imran had refused to easily settle for the resignation of Asim Saleem Bajwa and requested him to carry on as his aide.
Asim Bajwa had provided his resignation to the prime minister, which the premier rejected. The prime minister was quoted as saying that he was glad in regards to the clarification that the SAPM had equipped in response to a broadcast article on his belongings.
Bajwa talked about that he’ll proceed to work as MD of CPEC as he wishes to pay full consideration to the CPEC endeavor.
